JASON CRUMP: has twice won the World Championship but not since 2006 and has made no secret of his determination to regain the crown. He failed to claim a rostrum place in the opening three rounds of 2008 but third place in Denmark followed by victory in Great Britain put him back on track. Added another win, his 18th in 100 GP's, in Latvia but his final chance of pipping Pedersen disappeared when he had mechanical trouble when leading the final in Italy. He is the fourth rider after Greg Hancock, Tomasz Gollob and Leigh Adams to complete 100 GP appearances.
